Search of optimum solutions for technical systems under conditions of uncertainty with computerization of calculations in a tablet processor

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to develop a universal template in a spreadsheet for finding the optimal size setting of a metal cutting machine to minimize the amount of production defects in a batch of one hundred parts. Research methods. A sample of one hundred sizes of randomly selected parts from the batch was obtained empirically by carrying out technical measurements. The calculation of the optimal displacement of the machine was performed analytically with the application of functions and digital tools of the spreadsheet processor for the purpose of computerization and automation of calculations. The elements of the mathematical theory of optimization are used to compile the target function and formulas for calculating the optimal displacement. The scientific novelty consists in finding, determining, testing and debugging the functions and digital means of visualization of the table processor calculation in order to develop a universal table for the automated calculation of the optimal dimensional offset of metal-cutting equipment, the number of correctable and non-correctable production defects and the costs of their elimination. Practical significance. The basis of engineering activity is the optimization process, as the main tool for creating new and improving already developed technical systems. The problem is the lack of a comprehensive approach to solving optimization problems and demonstrating examples of the application of theoretical material in the production process. The high practical importance of the created template consists in a significant reduction in the time to eliminate the correctable defect due to its reduction, a reduction in production costs, a high degree of automation of calculations, the absence of the need to purchase specialized software and the hiring of highly qualified personnel. The formalization and structuring of such an approach to solving optimization tasks will allow the use of created algorithms for a wide range of different branches of production, which will contribute to the strengthening of the state's economy. The results. The resulting table automatically calculates the optimal displacement of the center of the sample grouping from the center of the tolerance field, the amount of manufacturing defects and the cost of its elimination after filling in the sample, the limit sizes of the part according to the drawing and the cost of 1% of correctable and non-correctable defects
