Anti-plagiarism Policy

The editorial board of the Mining Journal of Kryvyi Rih National University reminds authors that they bear full personal responsibility for adhering to ethical standards in scholarly citation and for the proper use of the research results of others. Only original manuscripts that have not been previously published elsewhere are considered for submission.

Authors are required to ensure:

  • Originality of the work – manuscripts must be original and not previously published in any language;
  • Absence of plagiarism – any use of others’ text or research findings must be appropriately referenced;
  • Proper citation of sources – it is mandatory to cite third-party works whenever they are used.

To verify the originality of submissions, the journal employs iThenticate software, which detects textual similarities in both internal databases and across the Internet. The results of these checks are carefully reviewed by the editorial board.

The editorial team reserves the right to withhold a manuscript from peer review if breaches of academic integrity are identified. Submissions are assessed according to the following criteria:

  • Originality above 85% – the manuscript proceeds to peer review;
  • Originality between 75-85% – the manuscript is returned to the authors for revision and resubmission;
  • Originality below 75% – the manuscript is not accepted;
  • Maximum permissible similarity from a single source – 3%.

Any form of plagiarism is considered a serious violation of ethical and professional standards, contrary to the journal’s publication ethics policy. If plagiarism or inappropriate text usage is detected after publication, the editorial board conducts a thorough investigation and promptly informs the authors of the circumstances and any potential corrective actions.
